I am licensed by the Washington State Department of Health as a Marriage and Family Therapist #LF 60831499 and a clinical member of the American Association of Marriage & Family Therapy (AAMFT) as well as the Washington Association of Marriage & Family Therapy (WAMFT). With a Masters in Psychology from Antioch University, Seattle, I have specialized training and experience in working with relationship issues, feelings of anxiety and depression and experiences of trauma.
My approach is systemic, meaning that I try to understand human problems in terms of the complex set of psychological and social systems in which they are embedded – your family, social, cultural, educational and emotional experiences. Therapeutic modalities that inform my practice include advanced level training in emotionally focused therapy (EFT), accelerated experiential dynamic psychotherapy (AEDP), cognitive behavioral (CBT), and lifespan integration (LI).
Having lived a large portion of my life overseas, I have extensive personal and professional experience in multi-cultural environments. I am married and a parent to two young adults.
